Talk:Times Herald-Record
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
My father always stressed that Record was the first cold type offset daily in the country. Apparently, there was an earlier weekly. I haven't checked this out. Who has a specific cite either way?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Baron Dave (talk • contribs) Um, yeah. Sorry. Still not used to Wiki. David E Romm 03:05, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
These guys are prominent? Al Romm, Manny Fuchs, Glenn Doty? In what circles? Says who? Their relatives?? I've never heard of them, and I worked for Dow Jones for ten years, and even read a couple of dozen copies of THR damned near cover to cover.....
Anybody you'd like to mention from circulation department? Carrier of the month maybe?
And is the local paper in Middletown that pre-dated THR "venerable?" I'd be greatly inclined to think the opposite is closer to the truth, but there is no supporting info to help me form any opinion at all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.235.80.60 (talk) 05:26, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- I think a fair amount of that was added by well-meaning ex-staff or interns. There's been a lot of POV edits that I haven't had the time to clean out. Daniel Case (talk) 07:03, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Times Herald Record cover 2005-10-03.jpg
Image:Times Herald Record cover 2005-10-03.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:46, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
