[edit] Photos

I'd like to rearrange the photos so they appear at the top of the section rather than along the year they are from as it would look neater. Anyone object to this? Also, I think it would look better if we removed the Euro 08 logo to line up the Greek fans' photo with the top - it looks a bit out of place because of its size and there are no logos on the page. Yes, it would be cleaner that way. Also, they should all be the same size. -Aabha (talk) 07:50, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Invert Chronology

As it is now, with the newest entries on top, the whole idea of a timeline as showing development is lost. I think the chronology should be inverted, so you are first introduced to the high number of different competitions, before being told of every trophy winner. Transfer records would also make more sense when you have a development from a few thousand pounds in the early 1900s up to the 50 million pounds for Zidane. Poulsen 10:10, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

I don't mind, but if we're going to do it we should wait until the early years are filled in so the page doesn't present users with a load of empty years. CTOAGN (talk) 14:43, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
Record transfers would be a good thing to add, but I'm unsure which to include. Naming the first £1000 or £100,000 transfer is OK in British football transfer record, but it would be country-specific POV in this article. Agree about inverting the timeline, I'll work on adding events for the early years. Oldelpaso 18:33, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tenses

"2010 in football - FIFA 2010 Football World Cup is held for first time in an African country, in South Africa".

This entry, along with those for 2008 & 2007 have all been written in the present tense, why ? These events haven't happened yet, so surely they should be in the future tense ?

[edit] Crossbar

In the chronology it states that the crossbar was introduced in 1875 and later it suggests that it was 1886. Can we have some clarification as to the correct date, unless they are implying slightly different things? Yorkshiresky 06:07, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
