Wintersun are not melodic death metal, don't edit "melodic black metal" to "melodic death metal", because they're not. Unless, of course, Time turns out to be a melodeath album when it's released. But for now, leave it as melodic black metal please. TheguX 22:19, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Haha I'm not really one to genrewank, but Wintersun definitely aren't black metal in the least. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.100.107.38 (talk) 02:54, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

jari is going to record at HOME! not sonic pump studios. and its never melodic death. more like folk death or epic symphonic death :)--85.127.19.224 (talk) 16:41, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Is "epic" really even a genre? If so, it's a pretty superfluous one. I'd say symphonic death is not too far off though. 216.209.118.99 (talk) 04:41, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

By disputing the exact sub-genre doesn't make the article more or less accurate. Sub-genres are mostly subjective to the listener. 76.6.57.119 (talk) 04:25, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Release date may be 2009

This seems to be the new eta on the official forums, and is supposed to be confirmed by a radio interview with Jari.JackorKnave (talk) 14:01, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

It needs a source. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 21:07, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

I agree. I thought I saw it on wikipedia before, but it may have been taken down because, like you say, it is unsourced and aslo, that it may have been simple vandalism. Hopefully, it's the second. I don't want to wait another year for Time. That would about 5 years after Wintersun, which is too long.JackorKnave (talk) 17:08, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Hell yeah, dude. I want it come out now! Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 19:21, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Apologies

Sorry for removing track titles. JackorKnave (talk) 22:48, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

No problems. Just look at the obvious source it could be first from now on. :) −₪ÇɨгcaғucɨҲ₪ kaiden 01:56, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Tracks

I can't find a single source that says that says that there will be 8 tracks, the official website that is cited gives the number as 7, and so i think that we can assume that "Sons of Winter and Stars" is the intro track. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.0.156.231 (talk) 21:40, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Revenge of the Radio Rumour

I see this has surfaced again, this time Kai's website as a source. I checked the link, skimmed through it, word-searched for "2Jari", "Wintersun" and "2009", and found nothing supporting this. I'm not saying it's not there, but I crtainly can't find it, despite my best efforts. JackorKnave (talk) 03:06, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

I still can't see anything supporting this rumor so I'm replacing it (at least for the time being), with something that Kai actually said, recently on the official Wintersun website - that for the moment, they are not announcing a release date, so as not to dissapoint fans if it is not met. If someone finds something more verifiable than actual updates by band members, be my guest to revert it. JackorKnave (talk) 21:31, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

A little better, but I think I messed up a bit on the reference. Sorry. JackorKnave (talk) 21:40, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
