[edit] Removing "proposed deletion" tag, notability

Tim Vigil isn't major (he works in horror/mature illustration à la Frazetta, and some comics), but quite notable enough in the comics business. Notable enough that:

  • He has an IMdb entry [1], because his graphic novel was adapted by no less than Brian Yuzna [2]
  • Most of his solicited merchandises (comics, posters, etc.) prominently feature his name as a prefix, because it sells.
  • His name is among those acquired by eBay as a Google AdWords, too.

Solicitations excerpted from Diamond's commercial catalog Previews:

  • (solicited in 1999) ART OF TIM VIGIL DARK UTOPIA #6 -- For 14 years, Tim Vigil has been producing amazing impromptu art on the world-wide comic convention circuit. During that time, hundreds (if not thousands) of original pieces have found their way into the eager hands of avid fans. This art, coveted by its owners, has essentially been lost to the public eye… until now. Dark Utopia #6 is proud to present an entire edition featuring the unearthing of some of these lost treasures. It's cover-to-cover ink, lead, blood, and sweat in a Vigil art event no one ever thought they'd see!
  • (solicited in 2002) TIM VIGIL'S WEBWITCH #1 -- The wait is over! Tim Vigil is ready to unleash an all-new masterpiece, 5 years in the making!
  • (solicited in 2005) TIM VIGIL'S 80'S LADIES BARWARE SET -- Tim Vigil inspires this suave barware tribute to the 80's. The "80's Ladies" set includes four groovin' cobalt blue glasses each hand etched with a hip chick on front, and Vigil's 80's ladies logo on back. All glasses include a certificate of authenticity hand-signed and numbered by the etcher.

I'm not even a fan, but I'm aware of him. The stub article is lame, but to be expanded, not deleted. 62.147.111.202 19:52, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
