TIM, Defender of the Earth is a young adult science fiction novel by Sam Enthoven, written in the spirit of classic monster movies such as Godzilla and Gamera.

It was shortlisted for the Waterstone's Children's Book Prize.[1]

[edit] Plot Summary

The plot concerns TIM (Tyrannosaur Improved Model), a secret government project living in a bunker under Trafalgar Square. However, the government decides he is too expensive to continue to care for, and he must escape from the bunker. After he does, he is forced to make an alliance with schoolboy Chris and his classmate Anna. Her father, Professor Mallahide, has created a swarm of nanobots that will soon take over the earth. Tim, Chris and Anna must team up together to take on Mallahide and his swarm.
