A photon clock, at a resting frame of reference.
A photon bounces between mirrors A and B; the clock ticks every time it hits the mirror A. If the separation between the mirrors is L, then this clock's period is 2L/c.
I created this SVG version of Image:Time-dilation-001.jpg using Inkscape.
