Description
English: Stamp of the United Kingdom overprinted for use in the British postal agencies in Morroco. This overprint of 1957 commemorated the centenary of the Tangier office, just before he closed. The stamp originated from the Castle definitives series of 1955, picturing the Carrickfergus Castle, in Northern Ireland. The stamp was designed by Lynton Lamb.
Français : Timbre du Royaume-Uni surchargé pour servir dans les agences postales britanniques au Maroc. Cette surcharge de 1957 commémore le centenaire de l'agence de Tanger, juste avant sa fermeture. Le timbre est issu de la série d'usage courant des Châteaux de 1955, dessinée par Lynton Lamb. Le château est celui de Carrickfergus, en Irlande du Nord.
