This cover story on the impending war by TIME magazine is a crucial one to the entire India Pakistan war. This was the first time that a magazine of international repute such as TIME had covered the conflict in the subcontinent and had given frontpage news for this story. This also serves another purpose in the Wikipedia article of portraying as the lead image in the infobox - so as to provide a semblance of neutrality for the article. Moreover, the article uses TIME magazine's story as source and the presence of this image would serve to portray the article on the war as just what it should be portrayed as: a fight between equals that ended in equal losses and the imagery fits the article.

It satisfies the first point, i.e. illustrating the publication and the publication name is clearly visible. The actual images are of reduced sizes in the articles (low-resolution) and despite being a TIME magazine cover I seek that it be granted fair use status under the above mentioned reasons only for one article, i.e. Second Kashmir War
