Tilba Tilba is a town in Eurobodalla Shire, New South Wales, Australia. The area was originally inhabited by the Yuin Aboriginal tribe. Tilba is said to mean wind in the Yuin language.[1] Others have said the word is a Thawa Aboriginal term for 'many waters'.[2] The town was settled during the Australian gold rushes of the nineteenth century.

Central Tilba is a village about 2 kilometres north north east of Tilba Tilba.[2] The entire village is classified by the National Trust as the Central Tilba Conservation Area.[3]
