Talk:Tillage
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cultivation links here, although tillage is obviously only one part of Cultivation. There is another page called Intensive gathering which seems to be an obscure name for what is more or less Cultivation. (Not that I'm an expert, just going by what's written there.)
Would it make sense to move Intensive gathering to Cultivation? Regards, Ben Aveling 11:47, 25 April 2006 (UTC) (I'm asking here because Intensive gathering and Cultivation both seems pretty unmaintained.)
- Going by the Intensive gathering page, I'd say that intensive gathering means giving some limited care to some wild plants. AlbertCahalan 04:09, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

- Looking at the page again, I see "cultivation [...] additionally requires systematic soil preparation and planting", so it's not exactly the same thing, as you point out. Still, I think that that the page is so stubby that perhaps it deserves to be merged? Ben Aveling 11:20, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
- Cultivation should definitely be a separate article, if anything tillage should be part of cultivation, not the other way around.Shinzon se 07:24, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
Tillage and Cultivation are clearly and historically two very different things. Currently the article starts with "tillage or cultivation". This in incorrect. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.66.236.249 (talk) 22:33, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Hey I created a page called soybean management practices. I was wondering if you would take look and tell me what you think. User:Berkt —Preceding comment was added at 04:44, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
