[edit] nonsense

Tilden was once called Charles Woodward High School, but the name was changed after Montgomery County Public Schools decided to create North Bethesda Middle School, which knocked Tilden's student population below high school standards.

Huh? I have no idea what is being talked about here. Tilden is located at the former site of Woodward High School, which was closed for many years. Prior to that, it was located at the old Tilden Middle School (or Junior High, or whatever), which is, I think, now used as a holder school for schools being renovated. But there was a Tilden Junior High which was separate from Woodward High. In terms of North Bethesda, I'm not sure what's being talked about here. There was a North Bethesda Middle School that was around when my mom was in school in the 50s. But that was closed for along while - certainly for the whole stretch when I was in school (1985-1998). It's reopened some time since, which is long after Tilden had been located at Woodward. Tilden was never a high school, and was always called Tilden, even though it is located at the old Woodward High School. North Bethesda, so far as I'm aware, has nothing to do with the Woodward issue. Could somebody clarify this? john k (talk) 01:48, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
