The Tikriwal or Tekriwal are actually Swati Pahtuns living in the Tikri Valley situated in Batagram District at the eastern slope of the famous Black Mountain of Hazara where an expedition under the command of British Army's Major General J.W. Mcqueen was launched against the local tribes of Hasanzais, Akozais of Black Mountain which was whole heartedly supported by the Malkaals, Naror and Ashror Tribes of Swatis along with the Syeds of Pirari.
