Tiki Taane

Tiki Taane, is a New Zealand based musician and former front man of leading New Zealand band Salmonella Dub. Tiki left Salmonella Dub on the 1st of January 2007 to pursue his solo career[1]. His first album Past, Present, Future (album) was released 22 October 2007[2]. Tiki is also the live sound engineer for New Zealand Drum and Bass act Shapeshifter (band)
Describing his decision to leave Salmonella Dub Tiki said "I felt like I'd gone as far as I could with Salmonella Dub. I didn't want to keep on doing the same thing." He described his time since leaving Salmonella Dub as 'very lonely' and 'very intense'[3]. Describing his old band in an interview after the release of his album Tiki said "I have so much love and respect for (Salmonella Dub) because if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be where I am now. I wouldn't be here. I owe them so much but everything has to come to an end at some point.[4] Tiki will tour Past, Present, Future with a live band throughout New Zealand in November.[5]
