Julian Jawann "Tike" Redman (born March 10, 1977 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama) is a Major League Baseball center fielder in the Baltimore Orioles organization. His first year in the major leagues was 2000. His entire career up until his acquisition by the New York Mets (2005) was spent with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Redman is 5'11" and 175 pounds. He bats and throws left-handed.

Redman attended Tuscaloosa Academy High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and was a letterman in football, baseball, and track. He graduated from Tuscaloosa Academy High School in 1996.

As of the end of the 2005 season, Redman had a .277 career batting average with 144 hits and 15 home runs in 392 games over 5 major league seasons. In 2004, when he had the most playing time in his major league career, he batted .280 and hit 8 home runs. He also had 51 runs batted in and 18 stolen bases, while getting caught stealing 6 times. He was designated for assignment November 21, 2005 by the Pirates after he had become expendable with the promotions of Nate McLouth and Chris Duffy to the major leagues; Redman was officially acquired from Pittsburgh by the Mets for cash on November 28. Spending all of the 2006 season in the minors with the Detroit Tigers and Houston Astros organizations, Redman had a batting average of .268 over 106 games. He hit 2 home runs, had 19 RBI, and had 16 stolen bases, while getting caught stealing only 6 times.
Redman spent some time on the York Revolution of the Atlantic League in 2007. He signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles on May 15, 2007. He batted .300 with 2 home runs and 25 stolen bases in 79 games for the Norfolk Tides (Orioles Triple-A team) before having his contract purchased by the big league club on August 9.
Redman played as the Orioles' everyday center fielder for the rest of the 2007 season. He played in 40 games and had an outstanding batting average of .318 (42-132). He will probably figure into the Orioles plans for 2008.
His brother Prentice also plays professional baseball, in the Seattle Mariners organization. He currently plays for the Mariners triple-A franchise, the Tacoma Rainiers. He previously was in the Mets organization where he played in the major leagues for a total of 15 games.
