Umm... I think you might be confusing me with another user. The user you probably want to talk to is The Hippie. GeorgeMoney (talk) 04:03, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Ah well ok no worries. The user who removed your edits was The Hippie. GeorgeMoney (talk) 04:12, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Basics

Sorry, I found it on Recent Changes, and I might've done it by mistake. But still, you said that the evidence where? I saw that external link, but I didn't find anything like that. And if the album hasn't come out yet and ITunes has them, I think that's illegal. The Hippie 17:41, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Harry Potter. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. --esanchez, Camp Lazlo fan! 00:52, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Cormorant (band)

I have deleted this article. In regard to your comment, "plus i thought wikipedia was for EVERYONE to contribute was i wrong in believing that?" is actually correct, but not the way you're meaning. Everyone can contribute, however we require contributions to be notable and verifiable. In regard to the band article you made, read the notability guideline for music articles. ZsinjTalk 22:17, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

To add to that, please don't make talk pages swearing at the other editors, see Wikipedia:Civility. Thge procedure for getting a Wikipedia article is to first become famous and then get an article. It's not using Wikipedia to help the band becmoe famous. Please read Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Notability (music) to see the criteria required for notability. Please do not recreate deleted content and also please do not remove deletion templates from article you have cerated yourself. Thank you. Ocatecir Talk 00:27, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Create that again and you will be blocked. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 00:29, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Your article

When we say anyone can edit wikipedia, we mean it. Anyone - from you to me to the creator of wikipedia Jimbo Wales - can edit or create any article that he/she chooses. But if the article that is created, regardless of who created it, meets Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, then it can be deleted. In your case, the article was deleted under the criterion "A7":

Unremarkable people, groups, companies and websites. An article about a real person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content that does not assert the importance or significance of its subject. If controversial, or if there has been a previous AfD that resulted in the article being kept, the article should be nominated for AfD instead. Don't delete if you simply don't understand the assertion of importance or significance; delete only if you know that there is none.

GeorgeMoney (talk) 01:34, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

It basically means that the band is not notable. See WP:NOTABLE for more info. GeorgeMoney (talk) 02:48, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
I guess you would have to wait until they are notable to create an article on them. See the reasoning behind this on WP:NOTABLE. GeorgeMoney (talk) 03:43, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
It doesn't have to go as far as a debut album, but when they get enough media coverage, and there can be some good sources on the article other than myspace, then it would be considered notable. GeorgeMoney (talk) 04:43, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
