{{helpme}}|I just got a message saying I'm blocked. It didn't say autoblock, but in my block log, no blocks are listed. What is going on?
- Run a block check on your IP. ~ Magnus animuM ≈ √∞ 00:03, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
{{helpme}}
- Go to this website, find the field labeled "IP address", go to this page and type in your IP address in the "Title" field. If something other than "No items match in log.", you have been blocked. ~ Magnus animuM ≈ √∞ 00:15, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
-
- I'm very sorry, you already have an account! When you try to edit a page, does it say you've been autoblocked? *Cremepuff222* "As cool as grapes..." 00:16, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
No, it says that CheckUser has determined that my IP address has been abuse. Nothing about autoblock however.

- Does anyone else use your computer who has an account? ~ ΜαGиúṣ ΛΠɪмυМ ≈ √∞ 00:39, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
-
No.
- More than likely it's an IP block. Any way of checking the IP at your end? Orderinchaos 23:50, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Given what was mentioned above, it appears that your IP address is blocked as a result of checkuser investigation. Checkusers have access to information which other administrators do not, and are sometimes involved in attempts to identify sources of sockpuppetry or other abuse -- sometimes their blocks cause collateral damage. If you let us know your IP address and the username of the blocking administrator, we can ask them to look into this; if not, we can't really respond to your request. – Luna Santin (talk) 23:54, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Blocking admin: Dmcdevit
- Yes, but like most active administrators, Dmcdevit has blocked a fair number of IP addresses -- I can't personally look into this, unless you tell me which one. If you'd really rather not post it on-wiki, you can use this link: Special:Emailuser/Dmcdevit. – Luna Santin (talk) 00:18, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edits
Since I cannot edit, here are some edits I would like done:
On the article T-Pain, add the image of him to the infobox. This image: Image:T Pain.jpg. Size it at 190px, like I just did. Make the caption say "T-Pain on stage."
On the article The Notorious B.I.G., change the copyrighted promo photo of him to the free image: Image:Biggie2002.jpg. Size it at 70px, like I just did. Have the caption say "An actor performs B.I.G.'s songs in 2002." -Springbob Squirepants
Category:Wikipedia protected edit requests
Neither of those pages is fully protected, so no admin assistence is required. You can ask anyone on the talk page of the articles to edit them, or wait until your account is 4 days old and you will be able to edit semiprotected articles. In general you should put {{editprotected}} directly on the talk page of the article (so that means two times for two requests). In this case, though, there's no reason to do so because the pages are not fully protected. — Carl (CBM · talk) 18:38, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- This isn't the case; my IP is blocked but I need those edits done sdo I requested. But my account is over a month old. Springbob Squirepants 18:42, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- Why is your IP blocked? It seems to me you ought to be taking care of that instead of making edit requests. And in any case, making the requests here is not going to get them filled. Are you autoblocked? If you can give me the autoblock number, I'll look into it. — Carl (CBM · talk) 19:34, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- Because someone was abusing my IP and thus my IP was checkuserblocked. Springbob Squirepants 19:35, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- Besides, when you just viewed my comment, you could have done the requests as well. Springbob Squirepants 19:39, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- I contacted dmcdevit, since I do not have access to checkuser results. He believes that this account is associated with a banned user and should not be unblocked. It won't work for you to make requests here for others to carry out, that's not the way things are done here. You need to contact dmcdevit to resolve the situation. Until then, please don't continue adding the category to this page. — Carl (CBM · talk) 20:12, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- Then why can't you just do the requests then? Springbob Squirepants 20:19, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- The point of being blocked is that you can't edit pages. So it doesn't make sense for admins to make edits for you while you're blocked, unless there is some emergency nature to the edits, which I don't see here. If you add the category again, I'll protect this page. I encourage you to resolve the situation with dmcdevit. — Carl (CBM · talk) 20:30, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- Because adding images to articles of living people helps the article! Isn't it obvious?! Springbob Squirepants 20:31, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- Simply do them and I'll stop! Springbob Squirepants 00:42, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I need to know: Why the helll are you refusing?! They are simple requests that will help the articles. But fine, if you want to make Wikipedia a bad place, then refuse. Springbob Squirepants 17:04, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

I am refusing because blocked editors are not permitted to edit articles. This includes not being permitted to make "requests" while blocked. — Carl (CBM · talk) 18:10, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ChefSP.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:ChefSP.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:57, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:ThrowSomeDs.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:ThrowSomeDs.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 01:54, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
