Tiffindell, in Southern Drakensberg, South Africa, was established in 1993 to give South Africans an opportunity to ski near their homes and others to ski in Africa. Originally, the resort was only one run, 300 feet in length. Today, the resort has grown substantially having a few specially prepared flat beginner slopes and the main slope that has a steep upper section which can challenge even the best skiers. The resort is built on Ben Macdhui and has a relatively high elevation of 2810 metres (9222 feet).
