"Tiffany Affair" is an American R&B girl group, composed of teenagers Ayanna (born 1989), Bianca (born 1989), and Gabrielle (born 1991) [1]. It was originally a quartet but then later became a trio. The girls were brought to Reprise's attention by famed guitarist Robert Randolph [2]. They released their first single "Start A Fire", produced by Stargate, the same company which produced Ne-Yo's "So Sick".
They started performing in commercials and musical theaters at young age. Their name originates from both a street in New Jersey called "Tiffany Blvd" and their original recording spot in a warehouse previously owned by Tiffany & Co. [1]. Their influences are John Legend, Alicia Keys, Destiny's Child, Gwen Stefani, Boyz II Men, and Christina Aguilera. Their debut album, tenatively titled Flavors [3] was originally scheduled for a Fall 2006 release [2], but was later pushed to a Summber 2007 date. However, these plans appear to have been scrapped, and a new release date has not yet been announced. The first promo single "Over It" can be listened from their MySpace profile.
On June 4, 2007 Tiffany Affair sang the Star Spangled Banner at the NASCAR Nextel Cup Autism Speaks 400, held at Dover International Speedway[1]
