Tien Wong

Professor Tien Wong is a research professor with the Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA). He is the director of the Retinal Vascular Imaging Centre (RetVIC) and deputy head of the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Melbourne. He is a world leader in research into the association of retinal vascular imaging to determine the risks of a number of common diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease and dementia.

He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1992 and completed his ophthalomology speciality training in 2002. He then went on to do a Masters in Public Health (1997) and a Ph.D. (2002) from John Hopkins University School of Public Health.
