The river Ticino (German: Tessin; Latin: Ticinus) is a tributary of the Po. It rises in the St. Gotthard massif in Switzerland and flows through Lake Maggiore. The Ticino joins the Po a few kilometres downstream of Pavia. It is about 248 kilometres long.

The river is dammed in Switzerland in order to create hydroelectricity, while in Italy it is primarily used for irrigation.
