Fred Ah Kuoi (born in New Zealand) was a New Zealand rugby league player for the North Sydney Bears, Hull FC and for the New Zealand national rugby league team, his usual position of choice was at Five-Eighth or in the Centres.

At the conclusion of the 1980 english season several Australian clubs chased Ah Kuoi's signature with the North Sydney Bears eventually winning his signature for the 1981 season. He would then fail to live upto the hype that surrounded him while playing in Australia where he had several niggling injuries and failing to string many good performances together.
After three sub-par performances with the Bears Ah Kuoi decided to return to England.

In 2006 Ah Kuoi accepted an invitation to play for the Kiwi All Stars against an invitational team as a curtain raising fixture before the New Zealand Warriors NRL match against the Parramatta Eels at Mt Smart Stadium.

After Ah Kuoi retired from professional rugby league in the late 1980's he worked in both New Zealand and Australia before moving to the United States of America and eventually settling there in Phoenix, Arizona taking a job as a minister[1].
