Tiago Splitter Beirns (born January 1, 1985 in Blumenau, Brazil) is a Brazilian professional basketball player who also holds a Spanish citizenship that currently plays in the Spanish ACB with TAU Cerámica.

The 6'11" power forward was expected to declare for the 2006 NBA Draft, but as the expensive buyout of his contract discouraged teams with high picks, he remained in Spain for that season. Splitter was automatically eligible for the 2007 NBA Draft, as he was at least 22 years of age at the time of the draft. He was selected in the first round, with the 28th pick overall, by the San Antonio Spurs.

On May 28, 2008, ESPN Brazil reported, Splitter resigned a two-year contract with TAU which will likely keep him in Spain at least through the 09-10 NBA season. The contract allows the Brazilian to make 8 times more than the NBA rookie cap would have allowed him to make with the Spurs. [1]

On June 7, 2008, The San Antonio Express Newspaper reported, Spurs GM R.C. Buford said that Tiago Splitter has informed the team that he won't be coming to San Antonio for the 2008 - 2009 season. Splitter, will sign an extension with Tau Ceramica that would keep him in the Spanish League through 2012. [2]

Splitter won the gold medal with the Brazil National Basketball Team at the 2003 Pan American Games. He was also named MVP of the ACB Supercopa tournament in 2006 and 2007.
