[edit] Kim Gevaert information
Thatlot!!, the additional information you keep adding about Kim is of course correct, but we have to watch out that the article remains focussed on Tia. More information is readily available to those who want it since Kim herself is linked to her own article. I admit that my own reference to Belgian sports history is already on the limit, but for that information there isn't a seperate article available so I think it's more defensible.
What do you say?JH-man (talk) 11:36, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- The hat-trick of Belgian titles made the event all the more significant, so I think it is worth mentioning. This dosent detract attention from Hellebaut, because it is just as significant to her athletics career as it is to Kim Gevaert's.

- Yeah, but this is not an article about the event. Let me put it this way: the additional attention that Tia (and Kim) got nationally and internationally, was (much) more due to the fact that they could run around the track together wrapped in a national flag in front of the TV cameras, than due to the fact that they together won 3 titles for Belgium. So for them personally it all comes down to the lucky circumstance that Kim successfully completed her event right after Tia won the highjump. For this reason I think it would go too far to branch out and also talk about Kim's 100m title, or the Belgian triple in general. At least in this article. IMO it would be more appropriate to include it in the 2006 European Championship article as a "memorable moment" or something.

- UPDATE: I've tried some different wordings and maybe this latest version is a good compromise? It mentions Kim's double without sounding too forced and off-topic.

- I prefer this wording :)
