Image talk:Tiamat.jpg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This image is the same as the one on the cover of the Dragonlance novel The Dark Queen. Thus, it is to be reasoned that this image can be used on the Takhisis article. Does anyone dispute this? DoomsDay349 22:49, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

I was not aware of that, and I think it would be ok. ddcc 17:43, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed Fair Use for Takhisis

This comment has been saved from the main image page at 04:42, 13 February 2008 (UTC) 13 F;disputed fair use rationale re Takhisis It would seem that the character depicted not even Takhisis; see following from that article oldid

Some believe she's also Tiamat,[who?] Goddess (or Queen) of evil dragons in many other Dungeons and Dragons campaign settings, but the two are separate entities according to Dragonlance creator Tracy Hickman[1]

and others.[2]

Talk:Tiamat (Dungeons & Dragons)#Tiamat =/= Takhisis where D&D folks took the position that these are two distinct, ah, entities. CommentAs there were no comments of note in support of them being the same entity over multiple periods of discussion, aside from one instance in one edition of a book that was later changed in subsequent editions, I've removed the image from use in Takhisis. The obvious problem here is that this picture is a picture of Takhisis, and not of Tiamat. DDSaeger (talk) 01:51, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
