[edit] Hey thar
Hey, I rolled back your edit to Compton Pirus, but it's not really cause you did anything wrong. A quick hint - reading WP:SPEEDY and WP:AFD might answer your questions about article deletion and how to go about it :)-DESU 06:00, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mixed martial arts
I really like your edits to MMA; the LnP section especially is much more accurate, clear, and neutral now. Nice writing! The only thing I'm wondering about it the removal of the seattlepi reference, was that intentional? -SpuriousQ (talk) 23:04, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Norteno Discussion
OK let's discuss it here on your page. The fact is that Nortenos openly practice unity and are not limiting it to incarceration. "Surenos" up north who choose to unite together for survival do not represent the feelings of the real goings-on in the true South of California. You claim that they unite *up north* and that Nortenos dont but you know that is just a lie. Yes there are Norteno sets like the broderick boys and franklone or whatever that might not practice unity, but they are few and far between! G.U.N., CUETE, the Northern Expozure series, Northern Warriors 1&2, and most modern Norteno rap albums all have some mention of "uniting the homeboys" at one point or another. Surenos do not value this and thats why their own rivalries will always be the primary concern, and these rivalries dont exist "because they got bored of having no traditional *Norteno* rivals". The primary rival of the typical Sureno at this time is just about any black gang but more specifically any east coast crips. Most others beef first with one another as they have been doing since long before any north/south war was even conceived. To even suggest that Surenos have no one to bang on in Southern California due to the complete lack of Nortenos is comedic. If any side lacks rivals it is the Nortenos and that is highlighted by the fact that Nortenos all seem to agree that just about every Sureno in northern California is a completely fraudulent wannabe soft individual that speaks no english and only wears blue because his brother lent him a shirt and runs at the sight of anyone in red. I know the deal please dont deny that you too feel this way.So fuck norputos and its all about the ~BROWN PRIDE~ and we are growing in hollister and all central califas fuck BPN fuckin lame ass farmers!
Nortenos also seem to pop up in every major area of the USA except Southern California (where their "primary" rivals operate). You would think that would make the area the main target, but I guess it's more important to represent "Norte" in Florida, Chicago, Phoenix and everywhere that has no animosity towards them whatsoever. Surenos are in every city too, but they dont avoid Northern California no matter how fake they may be in real life. There are some real established Sureno sets in the Norte while any signs of Norteno activity in Southern California are not even at the "rumor" status. You state that Surenos only spread to northern land with no rivals, but how did they end up in the Mission District, Richmond, Salinas, San Bruno, Sacramento, Stockton and other Norteno strong holds? Are you saying when they got there the Nortenos had not yet been established and therefore allowed Surenos to set up shop unchallenged? Woodie is a rapper from Antioch California and his popularity is astounding. ( Check out one of his cd's: http://cdbaby.name/w/o/woodie2.jpg ). It is actually shocking that someone as educated as you on the northern cause has never once heard of him. Mac Dre is also definitely a role model for many bay area Nortenos, and that is not a mere opinion. "Romped out Norteno" w/gangsta flea solidified this. This strong bay area rap influence does affect the attitudes of many Nortenos and often they adopt the African American street slang and clothing style, and simultaneously it distinctly separates their style from the general style of their worst enemies, the Surenos.
