Thuwal

Thuwal (Arabic: ثول ) is a town on the coast of Saudi Arabia (Red Sea). It is in Makkah Province , Located in 40 kilometers north of Jeddah. for long time it has been a Fishing center until Royal Saudi Navy re-constructed the village. Also, a new business movement covers this town because of King Abdullah Economic City .
A plan to finish the King Abdullah University in 2009 will also offer a high educational rate for Thuwal. As directed by King Abdallah Bin Abdelaziz, the Minister of Petroleum commissioned Saudi Aramco to supervise the design and construction of king Abdallah University of science and Technology. The two largest construction companies, Saudi Oger and Saudi Bin Laden Group were awarded the design development and construction of this University in a period of 2 years.
