Pu Thuam Hang was the first Christian convert among the Zomi in Chin State, Burma. He was the Chief of Khuasak. R.E Carlson and Mrs. Laura Carlson were Swedish-American baptist missionaries who came to Haka in 1899. This couple sent a Kayin Pastor named Saya Sein Htwe to Khuasak, after hearing a news about the Sizang, who can speak as well as understand Burmese language. Due to lack of ordained pastor, Dr. East could Baptist Pu Thuam Hang and Mrs. Thuam Hang on may 15, 1905.
