Thủ Dầu Một pronunciation  is the capital town of Bình Dương Province, Vietnam. It is located at around 10°58′0″N, 106°39′0″E.

The town has an area of 88 km², population (2003) is 158,000, and is located 20 km north of downtown Hồ Chí Minh City, on the left bank of the Saigon River, upstream from Hồ Chí Minh City. Although this town is an administratively separate town, it is considered as part of the Hồ Chí Minh City Metropolitan Area since this town is bordered by Hồ Chí Minh City’s urban area.

Thủ Dầu Một has seen a rapid expansion and economic development since 1997, as the province has become an important industrial hub of the region. In January 2007, this town was officially recognized a third class town, which means it has met city status of Vietnam and will become a city in 2007. There is a 4200-ha urban-tech park under development here. Once completed, Thủ Dầu Một will become a modern city in the Hồ Chí Minh City Metropolitan Area (including: Hồ Chí Minh City as a core, Nhon Trach City, Thủ Dầu Một, Tan An City, Biên Hòa City and some urbanized rural counties of Đồng Nai Province and Bình Dương Province).
