[edit] AfD nomination of Kevin Doell
An editor has nominated Kevin Doell, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kevin Doell and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:29, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Curious
Hey there. Just curious what site's info you're using to stay on top of the trade deadline updates right now. I have the tsn.ca real-time updater on right now, but you seem to be ahead of me a bit. :) Jmlk17 17:44, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- I love this day... sort of a Hockey XMas. :) Jmlk17 17:59, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- Haha, me too. I always book off the deadline and the draft. It just makes me so excited inside. Thricecube (talk) 18:01, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- Are the Canucks going to do anything? My Avs have secured the division, so you might want to. :) Jmlk17 21:02, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- They got rid of the cancer that is Matt Cooke. But other than that, I'm sort of glad they didn't go after a big name because the Canucks have no depth so I don't want to see someone like Edler, Bourdon or Raymond go for a renter. Thricecube (talk) 21:18, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The team lists and updating after the deadline
I noticed that you removed the colour of the various players who got traded at the deadline. While I understand the rational, as it currently stands the colour is for players who played at least oncein the current year. As such, even though different players were traded doesn't mean they have to lose their colour. This also leads to various problems regarding callups throughout the year. Example being in the Lightning list; Marc Denis is still noted as having played during the season though he was removed quite a while ago, however Brad Richards is not after being traded.
Essentialy, I'm trying to say that I'm going to revert the removal of colour, but welcome the oppourtunity to discuss this if you feel it necessary. Kaiser matias (talk) 23:25, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- I pretty much agree with what your saying. I'm only for colouring players who appeared in the season as a means of convenience. I've been recently getting some of the lists up to FL status, and have already come across issues about how often they get altered. By leaving everyone from the season as one colour, it helps to keep the list stable, and just means less work by users like us when events like the deadline come around. [edit] WikiProject Ice Hockey March 2008 Newsletter
edit
WikiProject Ice Hockey Newsletter Dear Thricecube! You are receiving as you are a member of WikiProject Ice Hockey There's been many more new things going on at WP:HOCKEY, and I think this will help you to stay informed. Since the last newsletter sent out in October, there have been many new changes. I'm hoping to make this newsletter a bit more regular; Kaiser matias and Skudrafan1 asked for a new issue a week ago, but sadly, I've been a bit lazy and committed to other things hence this other delay. --Maxim(talk) edit

Task forces By Maxim There was a new taskforce created within the WikiProject to deal with topics related to the Boston Bruins. It was originally founded as a separate WikiProject, but was quickly turned into a taskforce within WikiProject Ice Hockey. The list of participants is located here. Located at WP:BRUINS, the taskforce's goals are to make Boston Bruins and Bobby Orr featured articles. Good luck! edit
New Administrators By Maxim
A previously admin-only feature has been made available for all users. The rollback feature allows a user to quickly revert vandalism with one click. If you wish to have rollback, contact an active admin or post a request to WP:RFR. edit
Featured Topic Drive By Maxim The original featured topic drive, initiated by Scorpion0422, has concluded succesfully. National Hockey League awards is now a featured topic, with 24 articles in total. Of them, 20 are featured lists, one is a featured article, and the other three are trophy articles that were too short to become featured lists. Eight users signed up to help out, shown here. The next Featured Topic hasn't been decided upon, and the ideas and organization for it fell apart. If you have any ideas, don't hesitate to share them at WT:HOCKEY. edit

[edit] IR status
No problem; I couldn't remember how we handled these situations (player injury status of non-playoff teams) last year. GoodDay (talk) 15:28, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Vancouver Canucks task force
Hey! I noticed you spend a bit of your time on Wikipedia editing Vancouver Canucks related articels. I have been thinking about starting a Vancouver Canucks task force under WikiProject Ice Hockey for some time now, and am now going into the stage of gathering interest, seeing if anyone would actually be interested in joining. I've made a temporary page for the task force at User:Nurmsook/Vancouver Canucks task force. Basically, I just need to get enough members before I actually launch the task force. I still have to create some templates and alter a few that already exist once I get enough members, so hopefully you will be interested! If you would like to help out, please add your name to the list at User:Nurmsook/Vancouver Canucks task force#Participants. Thanks! – Nurmsook! (talk) 00:11, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- I have gone ahead and launched the task force. It can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey/Vancouver Canucks task force. If you'd like to add a userbox to your userpage, feel free to add {{User WikiProject Ice Hockey/Vancouver Canucks}}. Basically, for the first little while here, I'll be tagging all applicable pages with the task force option on the talk page. From then on, it'll just be general improvement of the Canucks related articles. Feel free to take any route you please with this task force. Hopefully we can make some great improvements to these articles! – Nurmsook! (talk) 22:43, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] NHL Draft 2009
Is there already an official list about eligible prospects for 2009? If yes, where to find? Reason for that question: See article. Thx, Hockey-holic (talk) 09:59, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
