Founded in 2004, the founders of Throwback Entertainment considered purchasing Acclaim Entertainment. After researching the company, it decided against doing so. In January 2007, Throwback announced it had appointed David Siller its Vice President of Development. Siller's past projects include Crash Bandicoot, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, and Aero the Acro-Bat.[2]
On April 20 2007, Throwback appointed George Nakayama its Chief Operating Officer. Nakayama's past employment includes President of Capcom U.S.A., Inc..[3]
On May 11 2007, Throwback appointed Yash Terakura its Chief Technology Officer, Terakura's past employment includes President of HAL Laboratory's USA division and creator of the Commodore 64[4]
