Thripophaga cherriei |
Thripophaga is the genus of typical softtails, birds in the family Furnariidae which are related to the thistletails. Two aberrant species were formerly placed here, but these are closer to the thornbirds and have been moved to Phacellodomus. Thripophaga now contains the following species:
- Orinoco Softtail, Thripophaga cherriei
- Striated Softtail, Thripophaga macroura
