Thrikkakara

Thrikkakara is a village panchayat within Ernakulam or Kochi in Kerala state of south India. It is famous for the Thrikkakara Temple where the deity enshrined is Vamana. The Onam festival is celebrated here in a colourful manner. Devotees contribute money for public feasts. A large number of mobile shops make it a trade fair. A notable fireworks show is held towards the end of the celebration.
The Model Engineering College as well as the main campus of the Cochin University of Science and Technology is also located in this village.
