Threemilestone
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Threemilestone is a small village in the civil parish of Kenwyn, located precisely three miles west of Truro, the only city in Cornwall.
Threemilestone has grown in recent years, with newly developed housing estates to the west. Between Truro and Threemilestone there is a continuous line of schools, colleges and industrial estates, including Truro College and the newly built Richard Lander School, a mere two minute walk from the centre of Threemilestone. In Threemilestone itself there is a central area of shops, including SPAR, a butcher, bakery, fish & chip shop, chemist, surgeon's office, laundrette, hair salon, Post Office, community center, public house, church and Vauxhall car garage.
Threemilestone is worth a visit, if only to observe a prime example of modern, dangerous over parking in a residential area. Interestingly, this was described by a former local politician as 'traffic calming'.
