Three Village Central School District is a school district located in Long Island, New York. It serves Setauket, Stony Brook, Poquott, Old Field, and small portions of Port Jefferson Station and Centereach. The Superintendent of Schools is Frank J. Carasiti, who was appointed after the former superintendent, John Sonedecker was found guilty of stealing upwards of US$45,000 in 2003.
The school district is renowned for its InSTAR program, a three-year science research program which produces record amounts of Intel Science Talent Search Semifinalists. In 2008, the program produced thirteen semifinalists, the most semifinalists from a single school in the entire nation.
Mount also houses the district's I.G. program, which stands for Intelligent and Gifted.
