Three Ring Records is an award winning label based out of the San Francisco/Bay Area of northern California. Started in 2003 by Dan Crowell, it saw its first release that same year with the Bother's "The Night Bleeds Gold." This album was mastered by recording engineer Chris Cline who's work has ranged from ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead to more obscure bands like Deadwood Forest. Shortly thereafter Chris joined Three Ring as a partner and he and Dan have continued to release albums at an alarming rate. In 2007 Three Ring Records was awarded "Best Local Label" by the readers of the San Francisco Bay Guardian, an award that truly reflects the impact this label has had on the music community. To date Three Ring has charted a number of it's releases on the College Music Journal charts and has also released a benefit compilation to help homeless youth in San Francisco.
