From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Three Castles Walk [1] in north-east Monmouthshire is a waymarked long distance footpath and recreational walk in Wales.

[edit] Distance

The Three Castles Walk covers 19 miles (30km) on a circular route.

[edit] The Route

The route links Skenfrith Castle, Grosmont Castle [2] and White Castle (Wales) [3]. It follows woods and hills [4] and takes the walker over Graig Syfyrddin [5] (Edmunds Tump) from where there are views of the Welsh Marches [6], the mountains of South Wales [7], including the Black Mountains, Wales [8] and the Forest of Dean and beyond.

The Three Castles Walk links with both the Offa's Dyke Path [9] (at White Castle) and the Monnow Valley Walk [10] (at Skenfrith and Grosmont) [11].
