THPDG is the initials of a failed attempt at running a web startup in the days before the Dot-com bubble had even started to form. It's original intention was to be short for the title The Home Page Design Group (circa 1995)

More recently, the mix of letters has been used as the unique username of Patrick Sweeney. Patrick Andrew Sweeney (born June 22, 1979) is an Embedded Systems Engineer from the Northeast United States. He currently designs hardware and software for an automated welding company. Basing his skillset on a long history of working with PCs and embedded systems, he has only taken small steps on a long career journey.
