Yeah, "alright" is a word (though only in some contexts), but "alot"? I would disagree with that assertion. -- Kicking222 16:21, 25 December 2006 (UTC)



The reason I think alot is a word is because it is suited to the way it is used. A lot of toys. Thats fine. I go out a lot. That's not. A lot=a lot's worth, or a large size. Alot is just a plurality. I go out often/alot. I ate alot/much. A large size can apply there, but because it lacks a prepositional phrase afterwards, we dont know what lot.
