[edit] Happy Holidays to you to
Thanks for the tree! Hope you have a safe and good holiday as well!--SUIT 03:42, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] RFA Timing
You may wish to reconsider the timing of your RFA. Your unavailability will not go over well with folks reviewing your application and is almost certain to garner you negative consideration. Also, you have a responsibility to remain available to a reasonable degree during an RfA to respond to inquiries. - CHAIRBOY (☎) 05:36, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your RfA
I wouldn't respond to every oppose vote, as it usually generates more opposition. People tend to react negatively if they think they are being argued with at RfA, which the !voters seem to think very easily. Unless there's a specific piece of information that you need to make people aware of or an action you need to defend, it's usually counter-productive to respond. Also see User:NoSeptember/Your RfA for a succinct guide.--Kchase T 06:09, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Yuser31415
I regret to say that I have closed your RfA early as per WP:SNOW. I have included a summary of the opinions cast in my reason for doing so, which was essentially 'get some more experience before trying again'. You have been very brave in putting yourself in the spotlight here after so short a time of editing WP. Most people wait between six-to-twelve months before trying for an RfA and they are not alway successful either. Strategies for improving your profile for another RfA include:
- contributing effectively to articles. This includes finding references and citations for facts in reliable sources, something that is essential for an encyclopedia.
- Working on the Good Article Drive, Good Article Collaboration of the week and the Article Creation and Improvement Drive.
- Patrolling the New pages and Recent changes special pages for vandalism; tagging the pages according to the criteria for speedy deletion and warning the vandals.
- Reporting repeat vandals for admin intervention.
- Joining a Wikiproject such as Wikipedia:Esperanza or finding a portal on a subject in which you are interested and contributing through that.
- Assisting at the Help and Reference desks.
- Welcoming new users.
- Becoming adopted or, when you are more experienced, adopting new users to assist them in learning about Wikipedia.
These are just some of the ideas for making effective contributions to the project. You can also see Wikipedia:Contributing to Wikipedia for more ideas. Regards and good editing, (aeropagitica) 19:54, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- Good attitude, keep at it. Deizio talk 21:11, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- I also appreciate your response and attitude. Keep up the good work and come back to it in a while. Best, --Kukini 22:01, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- I third the above sentiment. You're absolutely a valued editor- nobody will argue that. Just keep doing what you're doing, and you'll be a great aid to Wikipedia, whether you're an admin or not. -- Kicking222 01:45, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- It's mostly just the choice of time and low mainspace contribution. That's it. Keep up the good work! AQu01rius (User • Talk) 06:22, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 68.149.36.213
Despite warning this user, he has continued to vandalise. Yesterday, he removed the Playable In Beach Volley Folly section of Mario Party 4. Can you please get him blocked or give him a final warning so I can report him to WP:AIV? Bowsy 20:28, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Seraphimblade's RfA
Your vote in my RFA is appreciated. Unfortunately, the RfA failed to achieve consensus. If you have any advice for me on how to do better next time around, it would be greatly appreciated! Seraphimblade 14:20, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

My first Barnstar, how flattering! Thank you, and just so you know, that vandal has been blocked. All the best this holiday season, Dar-Ape 03:38, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
