[edit] wat???

why the hell would i change my user name whats wrong with germans ? and when you see hun do you really think Germans or huns like Attila the Hun ?(these are serious questions btw just interested) --Bobthehun2 03:59, 20 December 2006 (UTC) --Bobthehun2 03:59, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Comments like this are likely to get you blocked for incivility, Bobthehun2. And please consider changing your username; 'Hun' was a slang word for a German. Yuser31415 22:26, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Sockpuppetry

I knew that. But the thing is, I'm not a sockpuppet, this is my first and only account on Wikipedia, and I'm hoping to god that they don't block me. Nitro calibur 16:42, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Re: Haha, exactly, so why the hell is this going on. 1. I'm not a sock, and for 2. There is no proof as I have no abusive or vandalising contributions. So they can't do anything. Nitro calibur 21:11, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi - I do have substantial proof, and have made sure to confirm al of my suspicions with other admins. It's a compliciated case, but I'll be happy to email you the details (if you enable your wiki-emial :)). Thanks, Martinp23 21:17, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
For what it's worth, I've had a lot of experience with User:Molag Bal and subsequent socks (of which I'm certain Nitro is one), having blocked quite a proportion of them. Based on personal attacks left by this user, I've been very close to filing an abuse report with his ISP - only the fact that he (claims to) edit from a communtiy centre stops me. Last time we had an incarnation, I followed AGF, and, to be honest, had it thrown back in my face when I encountered personal attacks off-wiki from this user (self confessed, by the way). Since, edits have been made to another wiki which identify Nitro as a sock of Molag, as well as other behaivoral patterns. As soon as I can, I'll have CU evidence from the other wiki making this link firm, but for now (and until Nitro starts vandalising again (if indeed he does)), myself and Nishkid64 are going to leave it, and assume good faith that this time, he'll follow the rules and "be nice". The one or two other identification reasons are ones which I'm not willing to release per WP:BEANS, as Nitro is on a dynamic IP and often gets new IPs, circumventing IP blocks. I hope that this (at least partially) clears the issue up. Martinp23 21:25, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Yep - our only checkuser on WikiYouth is in a WMF board meeting now, so we'll have to wait :(. This diff, made on WIkiYouth after myself and Nishkid were alerted to "the return of.." Nitro here and we starting speaking to him. Coincidence? I doubt it :) Martinp23 21:36, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
OK - I jsut got confirmation that the editor on Wikiyouth called "Molag Bal" is on the same IP as Nitro (I got his IP from my talk page - see the history). So, he's a confirmed sock - thanks Martinp23 21:44, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
I think it could be, as he's circumventing the ban placed on User:Molag Bal (yes - ban, not block (though I'm not 100% sure if it was the case, I suspect it could be)). I think if I do block, I'll only do it tomorrow, after careful consideration. Feel free to contact Nishkid or WP:ANI if you like (it can only help). Thanks :) Martinp23 21:54, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
He's blocked :). Thanks for helping me - er - consolidate my evidence :) Martinp23 22:35, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The IP you speak of is one of many

The edits on Thalía is what caught my attention. As a user, who put a comment on my Talk page just ahead of you, has observed, there seems to be a number of IPs that are going in on that article and Paulina Rubio to do edits on sales and usually do a POV statement sometimes accompanied by a malicious edit. The edits are starting to get out of hand and that is why I requested a protection on both pages in the hopes of slowing down the anonymous IP edits. Thanks, Ronbo76 20:39, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Absolutely no ill will or malice meant to you, but I'd rather not get the holiday-themed greetings on my talk page. Would appreciate your assistance in this regard, and, holiday greetings right back at you. — Whedonette (ping) 19:34, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
