[edit] OMG!!!

[1] [2] OMGWTFBBQ! I can't believe I actually edit conflicted you, and we were both saying saying "forgive and forget, that's the way Wikipedia works". That's just awesome. And actually, I imagined you to be older. Don't worry, it makes no difference, I still Wikilove you! --Deskana (For Great Justice!) 21:24, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

That's what makes me so surprised! I don't remember reading it anywhere! Obviously that is the way that Wikipedia is supposed to work, but since it's never written anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to find me edit conflicting you, with us both trying to say it. Come on IRC! I'm in a chatty mood. Take a look at WP:IRC. I'm in #wikipedia and #wikipedia-en at the minute. Say my name in the channel and I'll get an alert telling me you're talking to me :-) --Deskana (For Great Justice!) 21:34, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm not always on IRC, but if you see me floating around Wikipedia, I'd be happy to come on for a chat. Give me a shout on my talk page if you need me for IRC or suchlike. :-) --Deskana (For Great Justice!) 21:42, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Yabasic nominated for peer review

Thats great! DarkLoki 09:19, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

There is enough info on the yabasic website to write a little history section, do whe have to wait for the peer review to end before making changes? DarkLoki 09:24, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: blatant vandal

Thanks for your warm welcome. Exactly because Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, it must contain all kinds of information. Correct me if I'm wrong. I don't see anything bad in adding links to example keyloggers to "external links" section. This is an EXAMPLE. Or would it be appropriate to add only freeware keylogger examples, as they are not considered "commercial"? However, this is also and ad of those software companies, even if they post the link to free applications. There had been a discussion, a long one, on adding commercial links, and we still haven't reached the consensus. It is not bad to add links to keylogger examples. Just as you deleted my additions, you will also delete additions of others, even if we create a special page, devoted to software keyloggers and software keylogger vendors, you will surely delete it, too. I don't see your point. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, I agree. But adding corresponding links, that carry lots of information is important. Correct me if I'm wrong. $pider 10:06, 10 January 2007 (UTC)$pider

[edit] Unsigned block notice

It's been a long day, fixed now, thanks. Canadian-Bacon 22:31, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "non-uninstallable"

I reverted the revert you made to Spyware; it took a while for me to understand what he was saying when I first saw it myself, odd construction but he seems to be correct. I'm wondering if you would consider rescinding the vandalism warning you placed on his page ( User talk:128.59.197.165 ). Thanks. --CliffC 05:23, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My RFA

Hey, thanks so much for supporting my recent RFA. A number of editors considered that I wasn't ready for the mop yet and unfortunately the RFA did not succeed (69/26/11). There are a number of areas which I will be working on (including changing my username) in the next few months in order to allay the fears of those who opposed my election to administrator.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for your support over the past week. I've been blown away by the level of interest taken in my RFA and appreciate the time and energy dedicated by all the editors who have contributed to it, support, oppose and neutral alike. I hope to bump into you again soon and look forward to serving you and Wikipedia in any way I can. Cheers! [edit] My talk page

Um, I don't think you understand... I want also the archives not see-able on my talk page. Can you do that? Just blank the entire talk page. (Me | The Article) 03:48, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
I did it. I blanked my entire talk page. What shall happen next? Will someone warn me... (Me | The Article) 03:52, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Will you blank it or should I again? (Me | The Article) 03:59, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Well, there was a lot of misunderstanding there, wasn't there? I hope I won't get warned for anything anymore though. But I trust that you've got my back, right? (Me | The Article) 04:05, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Yuser, (sighs) why do you recommend that I still keep that damn archive? You told me yourself that there's no real rule about keeping archives right? You mind if I blank my talk page again? (Me | The Article) 04:11, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Yuser, I'm trying my best here. I do not want anything on my talk page. K? (Me | The Article) 04:40, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
'K, for the moment ... Yuser31415 04:42, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Ya see what I have to put up with? What is it about blanking an entire user talk page long after being given warnings and such of everything that is disruptive?! I swear, I am at my wit's end. Hopefully, you won't be like Snapper22, right? (Me | The Article) 04:50, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Wait a min., I thought that you agreed with me that as long as it's on my history page, it's okay. Are you changing your mind about this now just because of Snapper22? If ya look at his contributions, he even says "I give up", so why should we continue this? (Me | The Article) 05:07, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Information

What's been going on? Sd31415 called a sockpuppet? Surely not. ;) Yuser31415 20:01, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

More information available here. Happy editing! SD31415 (SIGN HERE) 23:27, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Oh yes, I briefly read the above comments after posting and understood what had happened - which was a misunderstanding :). It's good to see you back! Yuser31415 23:29, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! SD31415 (SIGN HERE) 23:31, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cool (song)

Do not add vandalism to an article. There are rules and regulations to be followed. Velten 03:22, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Replied on your talk page. I feel really embarassed now, even though it was accidental ... Yuser31415 03:38, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Don't worry. Velten 03:51, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

How did you manage that? Haha. No need to be embarrassed, happens occasionally. --Deskana (request backup) 11:14, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re. 74.118.152.161

Hello Yuser. I've reviewed this vandal's edits and decided to decline your request. Blocks are not to be punitive, and his misbehavior was not atypical of a vandal who's to be blocked for 24 hours. First blocks usually consist of 24 hours, a week is rarely given as a first block. When the vandalism is extreme, such as when the vandal inserts profanity, hate remarks or personal attacks, then I usually block 31 or 48 hours. But again, never a week as a first block. Don't worry, if this IP continues to vandalize Wikipedia after the current block expires, his/her next blocks will get longer and longer. Regards,--Húsönd 04:01, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Uh, hi. We got a situation over at Talk:Grandpa Gohan. Can ya help out buddy? (Me | The Article) 04:15, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Well (to make a very long story short), apparently JRP is saying that I violated a consensus after you closed the survey of that page. No one said a direct reason why they didn't approve of the move, hence, I moved it to Grandpa Son Gohan. It was moved back by a Wikipedian that said there was no consenus reached (even though you closed the poll) and I re-closed, and removed, it... AHH! There's so much confusion! Can ya do something 'bout this Yuser? JRP has requested a move protect also on the article. (Me | The Article) 04:24, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Well, that's the thing! I can't link anything because of all the confusion that utterly occurred. JRP is just complain' about consensus this, consensus that, etc.,... He was one of the voters that didn't even give a reason why he opposed the move, hence, he just said Oppose per User:Sasuke-kun. I mean, is that what you'd call a consensus. Me and the other user actually gave our reasons and they didn't argue back. That's why it all occured. (Me | The Article) 04:34, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks Yuser. Sorry if it was too complicated though. I guess we Dragon Ball fans will take it from here. Cheers! (Me | The Article) 04:49, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

I hope that move protect calms things down. (Me | The Article) 04:55, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: your questions

  1. The AfD closure does appear in line with policy, and I agree with the outcome, but you really should be careful about closing AfDs. Although the deletion process does say you can close unambiguous keeps, I'd generally stick to virtually unanimous rather than unambiguous, just to be safe. But that's your call :-)
  2. Deletion process advises discretion on the part of the administrator whether or not to delete the talk page; in this case I can't see deletion of the talk page really being a big deal. If you do decide to leave the talk page intact in any AfDs, please remember to use {{oldafdfull}}. I quite frequently forget this myself.
  3. Glad to hear you're on IRC. I'll be sure to chat to you sometime :-)

Keep up the good work. --Deskana (request backup) 11:12, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I wonder...

Am I able to have everything on my user page moved to my user talk page and then have my user page deleted (having it as a red link that is)? That would be great because then I could only stick to one page and not have to concentrate on the both of them. What do ya think? (Me | The Article) 18:29, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

I mean, I wanna have it as a ((db-owner)) that is. (Me | The Article) 18:31, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
I lefted a message on Deskana's page if you're interested. No offense now to both you and Deskana, but why does it always occur to me that you and Deskana are females when I'm speaking to you? If it weren't for you guys saying that you were male, I would always be thinking of y'all like females. Perhaps its' the names y'all chose: Deskana ("a" which is usually an ending for a female like Sara, Joanna, Daniella, Tawnya, etc.) and Yuser sounds like a female Asian Wikipedian (I know, my mind is wierd). Sorry if I offended y'all in any way, but I really have to admit this since I've been holding this info to myself. My name at least sounds like a guy's right, Power level (Dragon Ball)? Ya think a girl would ever choose such a name? Who knows... (Me | The Article) 22:37, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
