Thomas K. Gibson is a professor of communications at York College of Pennsylvania in York, PA., and the founder and faculty advisor of the college radio station WVYC.

Mr. Gibson is the Senior Vice President and Director of Engineering of the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System, IBS, a 501(c)3 non profit organization supporting more than 1000 College, University, Internet and Secondary School radio stations throughout the world.

He is a long time professional radio announcer and engineer, public speaker and writer, and electronic communications enthusiast holding a First Class commercial radio license and an Advanced Class amateur radio license. He is also the founder and curator of a small non-profit telecommunications museum, exhibiting the oldest operating Strowger telephone switch, a 1932 Collins operating broadcast console, and many antique telephones.

One of his many lectures is "The real story of the Mayflower and Plymouth Plantation", a result of his significant interest in genealogy and Mayflower history.
