[edit] Wikipedia game

This is a simple game that promotes making improvements to articles. The way to play follows ...

  1. Select a Random page.
  2. Make as many improvements as you can on the current page. Add the points of your improvement to your score. The different points are ...
    1. Fixing grammar, spelling or a typo is worth 1 point
    2. Cleaning Wikipedia syntax is worth 2 points
    3. Adding an internal link is worth 2 points
    4. Adding an external reference is worth 3 points
    5. Adding an appropriate tag (stub, cleanup, AfD, and so on) is worth 1 point
    6. Categorising the page is worth 2 points per category
    7. Link disambiguation is worth 2 points
    8. Expanding a stub (at least one new fact and 20 words added) is worth 5 points
    9. Other improvements score 0.5
  3. After making as many improvements as you can, select a link in the page (which must link to a page in the main namespace). If there is no link, you must create one and add 3 to your score. Click on the link and repeat the last step until you cannot make any improvements to an article.
  4. When you can't make any improvements, list your total score followed by your name, followed by a diff link to each page improved and the score attained on that page following. For example:
    1. Score 43, Yuser31415; [1] 13, [2] 19, [3] 1.
