An occasional contributor both on the French and English wikipedia, who fails to understand the "notability" criteria for inclusion or exclusion of articles as "notability" seems a fairly subjective and geographical concept (Do I give a damn about Oklahoma's toll roads ? Do anyone not living in Oklahoma give a damn about Oklahoma's toll roads ??? How does several articles about Oklahoma's toll bring any values in a 'global' encyclopedia ?!?).
Whatever may be notable for a north-american citizen could be completely irrelevant to a ROTW reader. And vice-versa. If the geographical (read cultural) distribution of Wikipedia is biaised towards North America (and I bet it is for its English version), there is a high risk this encyclopedia project becomes biaised towards NA culture and geography.
This is sad.
