Thoughts of Ionesco was a hardcore punk band from Detroit, Michigan.

Hardcore trio Thoughts of Ionesco was formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1996. The band released five albums and disbanded in 2005. In 2006, Chicago metal label Seventh Rule Recordings released a CD and DVD anthology.

Thoughts of Ionesco members went on to play in Alkaline Trio, The Holy Fire, Leaving Rouge and Paradise.
