The Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes is a Group 3 Australian thoroughbred horse race for fillies aged 2 years old, over a distance of 1200m.
It is held at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne.

1971 - 1972 held over 7 furlongs (approx. 1400m)
1973 - 1995 held over 1400m
1996 onwards held over 1200m.
1971 – 1979 was a Principal Race
1980 – 1998 was a Group 2
1999 onwards Group 3
1971 - 1990 the race was known as the ‘Bloodhorse Breeders Plate’
1991 - 2000 the race was known as the ‘Bloodhorse Breeders Stakes’
2001 onwards the race has been called ‘Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes’
