Thornton Lodge

Thornton Lodge is an area 1 km south of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England that borders, Crosland Moor, Lockwood, Longroyd Bridge and Rashcliffe. It mostly comprises urban housing and some small shops, with industrial units around the area bordering Longroyd Bridge.

The housing area, runs up the side of a small hill. from the A62 which travels along the Colne Valley to Marsden and over the moorland into Greater Manchester to the town of Oldham and then on to the City of Manchester.

The local population is mostly composed of second- and third-generation Indian and Pakistani families. The major employers within this area are involved in the clothing, textile, and engineering industries.
