Thornton, Buckinghamshire

Thornton is a village in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located in the Aylesbury Vale, about three miles north east of Buckingham.
The village name is Anglo Saxon in origin, and means 'thorn tree by a farm'. In the Domesday Book of 1086 the village was recorded as Torentone.
Near the Village is a school called Thornton College.
