[edit] Early History

Thornliebank Primary School was built in the 1800s when it was burned down in the 1890s. This meant the school had to be built again. In the early 1900s it was up and running again. Later on the later 1900s there was a new building built and in the 1990s there was a nursery constructed on the grounds.
