Thorapadi is a panchayat town in Cuddalore district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001 India census[1], Thorapadi had a population of 5557. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Thorapadi has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 62%. In Thorapadi, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
